RAPID CITY, SD — Indivisible Rapid City (IRC) is organizing a peaceful No Kings 3 Rally in concert with thousands of other No Kings 3 Rallies across the US and possibly the world. Organizers predict this rally will be the largest nonviolent protest in US history.
According to Ezra Levin, co-founder of Indivisible, the No Kings mobilizations are a response to growing public outrage over recent federal actions, including aggressive immigration enforcement operations and ballooning executive power and spending.
Members of the Trump administration are acting against the public will and the public good. Indivisible Rapid City’s No Kings 3 Rally seeks to give voice to those who oppose these unilateral and unpopular actions.
“While lawless, militarized policing agencies like ICE tear families apart, U.S. oligarchs are starting wars and building ballrooms,” said Lesleigh Owen, Outreach Coordinator for Indivisible Rapid City. “We the people need to come together to show them we are watching, and we are not going to let this continue.”
In addition to the rally, organizers will host a food drive benefiting One Spirit, a nonprofit that provides food and essential supplies to Lakota communities on the Pine Ridge Reservation.
