FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

April 22, 2025

RAPID CITY, SD — Wednesday, April 23, 2025 — Indivisible Rapid City will hold a peaceful protest on Wednesday from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at City Hall (300 6th Street) to demand justice, accountability, and respect for the constitutional right to due process for all people—regardless of citizenship status.

In a powerful visual show of unity and peace, attendees are encouraged to wear white to represent the demand for justice, dignity, and human rights.

This protest is part of a growing outcry against policies and rhetoric that dehumanize migrants, criminalize asylum seekers, and erode the basic legal protections guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution.

“Due process is not a privilege for a few—it’s a right for all,” said an Indivisible Rapid City volunteer. “We are witnessing blatant human rights violations at the border and beyond, and we will not stay silent while people are stripped of their dignity, rights, and legal protections.”

Protesters will gather on the public sidewalks surrounding City Hall to call attention to ongoing abuses, demand humane treatment of all people, and reaffirm that constitutional rights do not stop at the border.

The protest is peaceful, nonpartisan, and open to all who believe in justice, humanity, and the rule of law. Please wear white to stand in visual solidarity.
